Everyone understands the popular young adult fantasy book series, Twilight. All of us are most likely knowledgeable about the author of that series as well: Stephenie Meyer. Nevertheless, do you all know about another book she composed called The Host? The host isn't a dream book, it's more science fiction, at least in my book. There's no magic, or paranormal; it has to do with aliens and take control of. Still, it's certainly a book that I can get behind with my romantic side also. This novel by Stephenie Meyer is smart, and although uses an idea that we have all checked out about previously, uses a twist the is appealing and extremely distinct.
A lot of book lists are workouts in chest pounding by intellectually insecure individuals. The authors of the majority of these lists offer books that are not always excellent per se, however books that will, in the viewpoint of these basic minded morons, make the creator of the list seem intelligent and well check out.
Nick: The structure of my story was greatly influenced by my son, who isn't a big fan of violence, therefore "The Dark Dreamweaver" is a relatively bloodless dream. While my entire family loves Harry Potter, I think J.K. Rowling went a little too far in Goblet of Fire during Voldemorts rebirth, and due to the fact that my book is tailored towards a somewhat more youthful audience I made a point to keep the intensity called down.
This is a pillar of the dream category. WOT is right up there with Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings as far as Popular book series goes. It's that monstrous series that takes up a whole book shelve in the bookstores' fantasy area. Nowadays, there is lots of hubbub about where Jordan has actually opted for this series, but the truth stays that this fantasy legend has indelibly affect the fantasy genre as a whole. You should read this series. The story includes a compelling mix of politics, kingdoms, magic, and an impressive story that can not be squeezed (literally) into 13 volumes. Sadly, Jordan died recently, but another (gifted) author is completing Jordan's vision. Do not let this sway you. If there is a modern dream series, then this is "the" fantasy saga to check out.
Nick: Kid satisfies wizard; Kid helps wizard; Evil beat yet again. I take place to enjoy the small summaries in the television guide that attempt to inform the plot of epic motion pictures in 10 words or less so that's my little contribution. The story revolves around a creative young boy called David, who goes and befriends a cursed wizard on a magical journey to break menstruation and beat the power-hungry wizard Thane. The journey takes place worldwide of Remin, which is where our dreams are provided their appearance of truth through the magic of dreamweaving. We satisfy talking sea snakes, a Cheap books man that looks like a jellyfish, a guy with exchangeable heads. Magic and fun characters. This book has all of it.
The next lady journalist is Amelia. She has a whole series of notebooks, all with the very same black and white structure book type of cover. Like Ellie, she tape-records her ideas and experiences, however these are larger books, thinner, with complete color illustrations.
So if your girls are feeling a bit excluded of the graphic unique category, those are three graphic unique series that feature ladies. I guarantee that they will take pleasure in reading and seeing their journals and sketchbooks and get a great laugh or more in the process.
